HeartSpace Newsletter - July 2002

Welcome to HeartSpace

Hello friends! We initially started this newsletter with the intent on having it up and running on a bi-monthly basis. Sadly, we did not get back to you until now with this, our second n ewsletter. Please forgive our absence as we invite ourselves back into your lives and onto your computers! Thank you for your patience, there is much to come and many exciting things to share!

This busy year of 2002 has brought a lot of excitement to the path! We are glad to be able to grab a little time now to bring you some updates, and we hope to be more regular in our communications forthwith. Firstly, we would like to thank all of you who support us all the time through classes and sessions and correspondence. Without you we would not be doing this work and we are grateful for each and every one of you. We especially wish to thank and honor our coordinators, sponsors, and supporters in the various regions we travel for their untiring dedication to serving the community in which they live and share and for their unrelenting support of the spreading of truth on this planet. You know who you are! Secondly, we would like to express our thanks and deep gratitude to Praveen Vajpeyi, without whom we would not be able to share with you across the world through the amazing web site - he has created and continues to reinvent on a daily basis. Thank you Praveen for your contribution to the HeartSpace community around the world!

Prayers for the Path

Here are two prayers and some accompanying thoughts upon which you may choose to reflect as you continue your journey. Take time to read these over and over, take them into your heart and then envision them as you walk with the one God in your heart and Soul. I have included just two prayers, the others will be listed posted on the website in the coming months. (www.nigeltaylor.com)

If you enjoy working with the first one, then go ahead and download the others from the website as they are floated. Using your copy of "Initiation Into Miracles" will help you to work the energies. This process will help you become very focussed on your unfolding spiritual path.

  Unlimited Friendliness

May all beings be happy and at their ease! May they be joyous and live in safety!

All beings, whether weak or strong - omitting none - in high, middle, or low realms of existence, small or great, visible or invisible, near or far away, born or to be born - may all beings be happy and at their ease!

Let none deceive another, or despise any being in any state!

Let none by anger or ill will wish harm to another!

Even as a mother watches over and protects her child, her only child, so with a boundless mind should one cherish all living beings, radiating friendliness over the entire world, above, below, and all around without limit. So let everyone cultivate a boundless good will toward the entire world, uncramped, free from ill will or enmity.

From the Majjhima Nikaya

Footsteps:

  1. Our choice of parents is a Soul choice. They bring us the attributes of race, creed, sex, culture and socialization. Their primary role in our lives is to teach us how to grow in love, humility, compassion and understanding. Their life represents their mission. For all of us, our life is our mission and our mission is our life.
  2. The more we share our own Light connection, ( a sharing that is free of ego), the greater the matrix of Light becomes for all who share. All are elevated into the Light.

  Honor The Highest

Honor the highest thing in the Universe; it is the power on which all things depend; it is the light by which all of life is guided. Honor the highest within yourself; for it too is the power on which all things depend, and the light by which all life is guided.

Dig within. Within is the wellspring of Good; and it is always ready to bubble up, if you just dig.

You have seen a hand, a foot, or perhaps a head severed from its body and lying some distance away. Such is the state a man brings himself to - as far as he is able - when he refuses to accept what befalls him, breaks away from helping others, or pursues self-seeking action. You become an outcast from the unity of Nature; though born of it, your own hand has cut you from it. Yet here is the beautiful proviso: it lies within your own power to join Nature once again. God has not granted such a favor to any other part of creation: to return again, after having been separated and cleft asunder.

O Universe, all that is in tune with you is also in tune with me! Every note of your harmony resonates in my innermost being. For me nothing is early and nothing is late, if it is timely for you. O Nature, all that your seasons bring is fruit for me. From thee come all things; in thee do all things live and grow; and to thee do all things return…

Waste no more time talking about great souls and how they should be. Become one yourself!

Marcus Aurelius, from Meditations

Footsteps:

  1. Action in the physical realm affects the nature of our bond to the Divine. Self centred actions cause separation from the Divine, while Self-effacing actions invoke the presence of the Divine.
  2. Imagination is a tool for reconnection to the Light. A controlled and discriminative faculty of imagination is the result of our success in resolving the conflict between reliance upon our outer senses, or inner senses. The inner takes precedence.
Journal Notes for Reflection

I include here for self reflection some powerful thoughts and aphorisms from Sri Aurobindo*. In order to move through the article that follows, take a few moments of quiet reflection on each of these comments. Think about your past in light of these words. Think about interactions you may have had with others, close or distant, family friends or others. As you do so think of the emotional experiences as well as the mental challenges that may have unfolded. Then take each statement and just think how true they really are. Once you have done this, then take that wisdom into the following articles and see if you can really discern the message I am endeavouring to communicate.

"They proved to me by convincing reasons that God did not exist, and I believed them. Afterwards I saw God, for He came and embraced me. And now which am I to believe, the reasoning's of others or my own experiences?"

"What men call knowledge is the reasoned acceptance of false appearances. Wisdom looks behind the veil and sees."

"What the soul sees and has experienced, that it knows; the rest is appearance, prejudice and opinion."

"God had opened my eyes; for I saw the nobility of the vulgar, the attractiveness of the repellent, the perfection of the maimed and the beauty of the hideous."

"God is a great and cruel Torcherer because He loves. You do not understand this because you have not seen and played with Krishna."

"Logic is the worst enemy of Truth, as self-righteousness is the worst enemy of Virtue; for the one cannot see its own errors nor the other its own imperfections".

The Heart's Call

Purposefully, I have refrained from commenting on the events of September 11th 2001 until now. This is due to the expected, and fulfilled, flood of commentary on the event. Since that time frame has both come and gone, let me now share some of these thoughts, and hopefully give just some insight into the meaning of the event from a spiritual perspective. (Albeit only one of an infinite number of possible insights.) In sharing these ideas, I am seeking to really push home the need to stand back from the global rush to generalise (either as a political event, as a new age event, or any other). In effect what I am asking is that we each take time to stand so far back that we can acknowledge the obvious, ie: that a certain series of events did come to pass. But also we can go beyond the Mind's Need to rationalise the event into any category and thereby, collectively, try to internalise it in a way that leads to powerful self realisation and growth. Once we can do this, we can then move beyond the need of the Mind to embrace the conflict and start to listen to the Heart's call, which is telling us that there is no conflict. And, as we do this, we help millions of others who are seeking the same understandings.

So yes, the Heart's Call says that there simply is no conflict. If we follow the Mind, we will be outwardly focussed on all nature of reasons as to why this event (or any other for that matter) took place. This brings up lessons of history, politics, economics, and so forth. Not to mention the inevitable conflicting viewpoints born out of ignorance of race, creed, and culture. The Mind, while functioning on a lower level of truth (that of the ego), will embrace and explore every one of these ideas. It will then plot a path through the maze and as a result make sense (its own sense) out of the plethora of ideas it has amassed. This then acts as a myth, and it is through this myth that we will then elevate the nature of our judgements as to the way the world is progressing. This is not the way of the spiritual aspirant. The way of the spiritual aspirant is to realise that the very event itself was brought forth by the consciousness of his/her own Being. September 11th, and the resulting aftermath, was and still is a prayer for healing from our own hearts. If we miss this lesson, then we have missed the plot. By missing the plot, we will then live in the fear of future events such as this disrupting the very nature of our life. This then becomes our new myth and as a result it becomes our new prayer. And since the lessons of the Heart were not internalised the first time, they will then replay through the lives of those who are in most need of the lesson being portrayed before them, in yet another guise.

The Heart seeks peace and cannot come to terms with conflict. If you have conflict in any area of your life, it is your Heart that suffers. Your Mind is just the transmitter that keeps the Heart in confusion. Please get this clear! The Mind is that which must sooner or later come under control. The control is of the Self, or the Divine Spark. It is a radical shift from control of the Heart by the Mind, to becoming a master of one's Mind. In having the Mind so controlled, one then hands over the Heart to the Divine. The Divine Transcendent then unites with the Divine Immanent and you bring truth and potency to the purpose of all events in this temporal realm, no matter what judgement the Mind may place upon them. The truth is that you are One with the Father. Thou Art That! To achieve this, the Mind's desires and attachments must be called into account. All the while this is not done the Mind will lead you to one TV coverage, newspaper or magazine coverage, new age article, or seminar, after another. This is the Mind. It is not the Heart. The Heart is sitting waiting for a return to its birthright - peace.

Now take this a step further. If you have any argument with any person, no matter what it is, no matter its genesis, it is time to ask your Heart what you need to do. Not your Mind. This is not about physical interaction, but rather about spiritual healing and global resurrection of the primary qualities of Divine Truth. If we cannot live by Divine Truth, then neither can any of those with whom we share our lives. To step in this direction, the Heart must be purified of passions for all but the eternal flame by which our true sustenance of life pours forth. All passion are of the Heart. If it is not a passion of eternal Truth and Love, if it is a passion of vengeance, hatred, jealousy, anger, greed or any other, then you have work to do.

Think of the person or event that triggers that feeling inside your being and watch how your Heart responds. Ask yourself if this is what you want. If it is not, then simply follow the process outlined later in this newsletter and create a total heartfelt release from that soul and clear your energy field. It may be that they have pained you in ways that go deep to your core, (or at least you think they have, and with your self righteous Mind will go out of the way to justify such - sound familiar!) Perhaps Sept 11th has awakened within our souls some deep pains and memories that need healing. These may be known or unknown, from this life or past lives. It could be that these people may have been perceived as the epitome of everything you are not. Guess again, for they were sent forth as the perpetrators of Divine Reconciliation. The God in them has stepped forth as the Mirror to the God in you. It is calling forth for the time of healing to now step up to the plate.

We see now that September 11th holds many hidden agendas, all of which ultimately lead through the maze of a Mind without constraint, feeding conflict without taking responsibility, through to the eternal Peace that the Heart is calling forth. For many, this event was the work of an evil hidden government, while for others it was the effort of madmen from a strange culture. There are as many ideas about it as there are people on the planet. But in effect, September 11th was the emanation from our very own Hearts. We (you and I) called it into being. We must now breathe through it. This event is the penultimate cleansing salve. It calls us to go so deep within our Hearts and discover that we can do nothing but love every being on the planet. We are talking about total unconditional love. This does not mean we have to like their behaviours or personalities. But all of our personalities that will now be called up for healing. Everyone of us! This is the time of "Soul Personality Fusion".

Now, let us take this a step further. Reflect on each of the different religions, and you will find that they all have their own deities. In effect, regardless of how many deities they have, they all triangulate back to the eternal One. However, sometimes people get sidetracked along the path. Rather than focus on the One (ie: Absolute) and all the emanations from the One, thereby seeing each of these as servants of the One, they focus on the many, thereby seeing these as the One in and of themselves. For example - Jesus! I cannot begin to imagine how painful it must be for the eternal Christ in Jesus to look down and see that he has been made a God, given the very precise teachings that he did nothing of his own but by the Will of his Father. We have made a religion of Jesus, as some have tried to do with Sai Baba (who unequivocally states that he has not come here to start a new religion, but rather uphold the tenets of the existing faiths). The whole of the Christian faith is a deep path of profound initiation into deep heartfelt love. Jesus is One with the Father and by serving the Light of the Christ within Jesus, according to his teachings (at least those available before the teachings were too radically altered), we each of us have a chance to move directly to the feet of the Father/Mother God.

The same can be said of any avatar. The Lord Buddha, Zoroaster, and so forth. Likewise, Lord Shiva and Goddess Lakshmi are not the One, they are servants of Light of the One. Each of them will come to the ones who call them forth and bestow upon them the bounty and boons in direct accord with the past life merits and present life efforts of each soul. However, if we get sidetracked and focus on the lesser God within, we miss the boat. Lord Shiva, for instance (whom again has a complete following within the multitude of Hindu paths), will step forth and challenge us to control our minds of all desires. Lord Shiva is regarded as the Lord of Yoga. He is the master of all sense. Hence, he is portrayed as having the Cobra wrapped around his being. All desires are under his control. Why chant the name of Shiva (OM Namah Shivaya) if you are not prepared to accept the boons that he will give. Some of these boons may be the removal of your ability to practice the fulfilment of your desires. This may occur by granting extensive blessings of material abundance in accord with your wishes, just so that you can be cornered into a situation whereby you are then forced to pray for a higher boon to relieve the aches of the heart that the earlier boon brought about! This then is seen to occur on an individual, family, neighbourhood, societal, national, economic, political, racial, religious, gender, and time based series of interacting and overarching cycles of Divine Grace.

Lord Shiva, for example, is as real as Lord Jesus, Lord Buddha, and Lord Krishna, to mention just a few. He is not a deity who is in some way mythological. When he approaches you, you know for sure that he is real. He will not tolerate prayers for boons to be granted if the devotee is not willing to do the work to remove the passions and desires that would prevent him/her from being a more suitable Yogin. Likewise, we can explore any of the Goddess energies such as Dhurga, Lakshmi, the Mother, and so forth. The point remains the same. Around the world today, countless millions of people are experiencing miracles associated directly with their own chosen deity. We have the need to learn the beauty of the path that the chosen deity brings, and then we must move through that form to the formless. When we do this, the Absolute will come unto us and the miracles will be far beyond any that we could ever imagine. So that, of course, brings us back to more opportunities for learning brought to us on September 11th.

The Clash of Mind and Heart - September 11th 2001, Reincarnation and the Disciplines

(These comments were drafted in October, shortly after the event. Consider them in context of the above)

Once, just once every so often humanity recedes from the fast pace of pursuing outward glory and happiness and delves deep into the spirit of their common humanity. Rarely though it is, when these events unfold, so does the spirit of humanity move upwards along the spiral of spiritual evolution. This upward spiral is the destiny of all creation, including every level of sentient existence on, around, and through this planet, at a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. Suddenly our beings are shaken out of complacence for the accepted norms of life and into the realms of the unspoken - why should such events occur?

Who is this God that we worship and yet allows such tragedies to unfold? There is a polarization of thinking between the grieving and the perceived perpetrators. The rally for justice and revenge become intermingled with cries of war and hatred. Eventually, the focus of normality returns to its stride and humanity in its higher polarity, spurred on by fear, reaches out to guard its way of being. As the progression to a higher state of being takes hold, that which has been starts to give way to that which can be. Perceived freedoms, choices in material existence for all manner of food, shelter and clothing, freedom of worship, assembly and the right to an opinion fade into the shadow of the greater freedom - the right to exist. Governments and institutions, born out of the very same principles, place the very freedoms that have come to be accepted as standard underneath an umbrella of restricted rights. Tension develops in the inner depths of our Soul, for although outwardly we see one thing happening, at another level we realise a much more potent shift in our experience of life is unfolding. Tension always seeks resolution. The tension between knowing what is inherently and spiritually (not religiously) right and that which appears morally and ethically appropriate. The struggle now moves inside the Soul of every human being affected by these changes. In their call for greater protection, they assemble under the banner of spiritual cries that call forth for understanding as to why this should happen in their life.

Yes, the events of September 11th 2001 are one such hallmark event in humanities stride into the higher unknown reaches of spirit. The enormity of the event, the very nature of the event and the terror that it struck into the hearts and souls of every man, woman, and child across the world can not go ignored. To ignore or downplay the enormity of this event plays straight into the very trap that is set for each and every spiritual aspirant on this planet - 6 billion at present. It has always been a spiritual maxim that darkness strikes with pinpoint accuracy in a concentrated arena to create maximum confusion, dislocation and suffering. For instance, if an equivalent of Mother Teresa were to walk the streets of Calcutta, tending to the needs of thousands over a week, bringing them much needed food, shelter and clothing, how much attention would this receive in our hearts and souls. How much focus would our regular media place upon this accomplishment in the name of God? Yet, on the other hand a bomb goes off in Bethlehem, 70 people are killed or injured, and the media of the world brings its focus to bear on the scenario. Which one touches us deepest and for the longest period? Which one sends the strongest messages to our souls about the reality we live in. You and I know which one. Our attention is focussed on the latter? Why? Because it calls out to us to ACT! But how? How do we act in a time such as this.

Perhaps, first and foremost, there is a call for the true practice of the spiritual disciplines. These are the elements of our life that we most forget until confronted by the deep unknown. Such unknowns as death, potential destruction of the fabric of our life, and or other such calamities, force us into a resolve to go deeper - to know. Of course these events will be seen differently for each of us depending upon where we are placed relative to the force of impact, our basic spiritual beliefs, and the background from which they sprout, i.e.: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and so forth, plus the degree to which our worldly intelligence dominates our spiritual intelligence, the two of which are worlds apart in their perception of events and their call for action. So let us review a few points that may assist us on the path, and as we do so, I will allude to some understandings that may assist us move with greater clarity into our process of healing.

To understand the disciplines, just let me recap a vital point. Regardless of the tradition one comes from, there is a body of deep esoteric wisdom that reveals to us (and can be experienced first hand by practicing these disciplines) that the Divine Spark, or God within, expresses itself through three different vehicles of consciousness. These are respectively the Physical Body, at the level of physical reality. It is here and now linear time and it can be said that the measure of this world is Action. Action translates to behaviours and in so behaviours become the hallmark of our Ethos, or the ethical standard that we live our life by. Are we ethical in our response? This is not for me to judge, but it does ask of us to look deeply into our own hearts and Souls and make some assessment of what now motivates us. Action in this level of reality, translates into Karma.

According to the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna, the Avatar of the day, tells us that God does not act! Therefore, this translates to the understanding that in any event, perceived as good or bad, God did not act! Krishna tells us furthermore that we do not act either, but if we think we act, then we are bonded to the course of those actions and the intent that was behind them. In effect, it means that we are tied to the actions because we did them for ourselves, not as instruments of God. An important point here is "as instruments of God". If we act with intent that is not for the highest good of humanity, and in so doing surrendering all to the One God, then we are attached to the outcomes and this brings future karma - hence, rebirth. As to who acts, we will get there soon.

Rebirth brings up the whole issue of "reincarnation" as not being in the Bible. I would like here to quote one of my dearest friends, a master scholar, a man whose spiritual wisdom towered above anything that I could ever aspire to. He was my teacher and friend. Jack Courtis passed away just four days after the events of September 11th, but not without a legacy. Here are his words verbatim on reincarnation.

In 453CE the Church, for its own reasons, banned the teaching of reincarnation. Those reasons had to do with politics, power and control. Ever since, the Church has felt the need to continually refute the teaching of reincarnation. The Church has realized that karma and reincarnation are so intimately interrelated that an attack on one, is an attack on the other. Consequently, the Church has used as its primary refutation the incident mentioned in the Gospel of John. This is the healing of the blind man from birth.

The disciples asked Jesus, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parent, that he was born blind?" Let us pause and consider this question. It is subtle and penetrating. There is already an underlying belief in reincarnation, otherwise the question is completely meaningless. Jesus' response is emphatic. "It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be made manifest in him." The Church has assumed that this is a complete refutation of reincarnation and has never examined the issue more closely. The Church has made an error. The Church has assumed that karma operates only as a punishment of past sins. This is not so.

The error that is made is to assume that there is a cause and effect relationship between reward and punishment. There is no such nexus. It is precisely the grace and mercy freely given that is the issue. It is the absence of the compulsion of reward and punishment that is the point. By God's mercy, we are able to take upon ourselves works of love, sacrifice and devotion, for the benefit of humanity. This is the divine grace freely given and operates as a blessing through the reincarnation process. This is not a refutation. It is a stunning affirmation of the power of devotional love that the work of God might be made manifest. This is exactly what the man blind from birth has done. Jesus states this expressly. "It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be made manifest in him." The man blind from birth accepted a task of mercy and love. He was not being punished for sin. It is through such acts of self-sacrifice that we can make very significant karmic progress. The Church's refutation is turned on its head. The issue is subtle and requires deep meditation. Nevertheless, it is not difficult." Jack Courtis: The Christian Book of Liberation. Appendix 2 (Revised Edition)

Thank you Jack! So, here we have reincarnation as an act of Grace and Mercy. When we are born we can take upon ourselves works of love, devotion, and sacrifice. This calls into account our behaviour (actions) at the level of the physical body, for it is here that we can learn to control our karma, not change it, but control it. Appropriate behaviours are those which for all intents and purposes are regarded are ethically and morally upholding the deepest spiritual intent of the most Holy of Holy. These we know in our Soul. They need not be taught to us by any institution, for we know them. Do we not? We know the fundamental difference between Right Action at the Right Time in the Right place and inappropriate Action. I know you do, all of you. Institutions exist to remind us of this, not to teach us this. They seek to remind our Soul of what is right and to this we now allude.

The second vehicle of consciousness is our Soul. It is qualitatively different than our Physical body and is said to exist in a qualitatively different experience of time. That time is not linear as we understand time to be, but rather it is regarded as "A day of Our Lord", or "A Day of Brahma" or a Day of 1,000 years". All of these speak to a different reality for the Soul, one in which rather than having the physical limitations, it has an energetic presence in which are encoded the very prints of knowing. The Soul incarnates in a specific time and place to be of service to the Light, to the Divine, to God, or howsoever one may define God. That incarnation led by the Soul's inner most knowing takes us into a particular place and time, specific families and friendships, and so forth, so as to fulfil our purpose and intent. Once we realize this, we are able to change our karma, and as we change our karma, we are then able to help others change theirs, not by force, but by our very presence. Actions speak louder than words, do they not!

The Soul then changes Karma and it does so by reconciling the opposing forces that the emotional and mental aspects of our being are exposed to in any given life. It is precisely those exposures at an individual, family, societal, national, gender, spiritual and racial level that generate a call for the Soul to intervene and be heard, rather than allowing the personality (ego), born and bred in the fear of our contemporary reality of pain and suffering, to dominate. It is precisely in times like we are now immersed that we have an opportunity to seek initiation into the higher planes of Spiritual truth and fuse our Soul with our personality. However, to do so requires great courage, enormous spiritual determination and a resolution to walk the truth of your heart and not be led astray by the tester who will come unto you with opportunities that seem oh so easy to accept, at the level of the personality.

When we take this heartfelt choice and decide to reconcile, then we will meet the storms of our life head on. These will potentially tear us apart at our Soul. We know that there must be some actions taken to bring a resolution to this act of terrorism, and yet what does our Soul say is appropriate. Not our personality, but our Soul. Once we engage our Soul, explore the torrents of change that it will put us through, we open up to the next level of our being - the Spirit.

The third vehicle of consciousness is that of Spirit. Spirit is said to exist in eternity. Yes, we have a spiritual body and when it is embraced it allows us to efface (erase) karma, or the need to act. To reach this point is our objective and how we get there is the process.

So we return to what we can do at this moment in time - apply the disciplines. Let me review them for you briefly and one by one. Briefly, this is how they apply to the here and now of our current situation.

Fasting

Consciously be aware of all that you take into your being - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Be very aware. Raise your guard for just one day and you will do it for longer. Do it for a week and you will do it for a month. Do it for a month and it will become a habit that will redirect the course of your life. Ask yourself, given the situation that is around us, "What am I taking in to my being?" Every conscious human being is aware. Awareness is the way that God works through us, not how we work God. I refer back to Krishna, who "reminds" us that even God does not act. God is above all forms of action. God provides us with the "motivation to act" the life force. It is our nature that acts. Think about this. It is our nature that acts. Each one of us has a particular nature, some of us are aggressive, others passive, and yet others more harmonized. A tiger is aggressive, a snail is passive, and a realized saint is harmonized. We bring with us karmic dispositions towards a certain nature. This is also true of ANYTHING that is sentient, or alive, as a moving spiritual force or entity. Hence, religious beliefs (and subdivisions thereof), financial markets, airlines, communities, and so forth, are all of a certain nature. It is by the resonance of our nature that we are drawn to be part of them. In so doing, we can either blindly accept our participation within them or change our nature.

To change our nature we must be "Divinely aware" of the nature of our nutrition at each level of our being. Foods that are harmonizing should be known to be capable of strengthening the mind as well as the body. They should not be too salty, too hot, too bitter, too sweet, or too sour. Food which fans the flames of thirst should not be taken. Think about this, alcohol inspires us to relax and as it expands its control over us, it encourages us to allow another part of our nature to come into play. This part, normally locked away, can be either passive or aggressive, depending upon our personality. The same is the case with drugs, prescription and non-prescription. How then should we behave? Take a careful note of the way in which you responded to the events of the past few months (let alone any other major incident of a similar nature you may have been subjected to in your life or region - i.e.: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, similar violence if you live in troubled lands). Ask yourself "What did I take into my body immediately after the event and what have I eaten and drunk since the event. Have I in anyway fed the emotion of fear and dislocation of my spirit with foods that did not support harmony?

This is not about guilt, it is about learning and growing. The nutritional habits of each of us will either bury the incident, incite our biases, or assist us find peace and inner faith in the right actions to be taken at the right time and place. What has been your habit of behaviour? Be honest. Review your daily habits of food intake and the thoughts that are generally going through your head at that time. Each meal we take, each drink we consume, and each breath we inhale is coded by the thoughts that we hold at that time. Hence our entire body takes on the energetic presence of the thoughts at a nutritional level.

Then, of course, ask yourself what you are feeding yourself emotionally. The mass media has done us a great disservice in their constant replaying of the horrors of the events of September 11th. Plus, they have done the same with their constant affirmations of war, terror and catastrophe. But at another level they are just playing their part. They do, however, a disservice in many and varied ways. First, the images are food for fear. Fear brings the terror deeper into our soul and separates us even more than we have ever been separated before. Constant repetition of words and phrases that hype up revenge without looking at the spiritual consequences of such revenge, let alone the repercussions at a physical and emotional level, call upon us to be very conscious of what we do and do not allow ourselves to digest. Ask healthy questions. "How do I feel about what I have seen?" Is there any benefit in me repeating the images in my head and going over the pain?" What about the mantras of the day; "Under attack" "At War". Is this the true way of the Spiritual warrior and master that you are. Every image seen is an image digested into our souls. Every unsolicited statement of hate and or projection of fear that more terror may take hold is seeking to hold us back from the deeper reality that is unfolding.

So what to do? Bury one's head in the sand and assume that nothing happened! No! Run out in rage and seek revenge! No! it can truly be said that it is a fool that speaks when it is inappropriate to speak and it is a coward who will not speak when it is appropriate to speak. We need be neither cowards nor fools. We can be self realized in our behaviours. We can make ourselves aware of the events that have unfolded in a very simple manner and then ask ourselves what is our part in the event. Remember that these events only exist in our reality because we have a reality. If we cease to exist then so do these events. They are our creation, we have come forth to experience them. Once we accept that, we then choose to put no energy into the lower level focus of the images of the media and gossip that runs around us. What we do, is to ascertain the image of that which is eternal and that which we wish to hold as true. We either do or we do not believe in the Divine. (See following point on the Divine Names) If we do, then we substitute the images and language of fear, terror, pain, and suffering and replace them with a diet of spiritual sustenance supported by any one of the faiths which you might follow.
You do have a choice in the nutrition of your soul. Remember that. The images you support are the images that will manifest as part of a collective consciousness. If, and I repeat if, all of humanity were to move from supporting images of violence to images of peace and non-violence, whereby we lived out of truth, love, and the right actions, we would deny fear its hold on our hearts. Idyllic, yes. Possible, absolutely. This does not make us a do-gooder that would become a subscriber to peace at any cost. It simply says that we have a role to play. The more who hold onto the thoughts and images of peace and love, the more the vibrational field of these qualities will take hold across the threshold of our world, at all levels of existence. It is a choice we have and can make. This brings us to the second discipline.

Prayer

No matter how we define it, prayer is the next most logical step in our spiritual path. It is a vital step and one that very often we abrogate to last on the assumption that it should work, but because we have had so little evidence of immediacy in results, we tend to use it as a last resort. That is unless it is used as a rote formula that keeps us happy that we have at least done something and can therefore appease our minds guilt. Prayer is to deliberately set into motion the hidden processes of the kosmos. The kosmos is God's heart and soul through which He/She provides us collectively with the capacity to experience the mercy and grace that is available to us. We demean ourselves by thinking that prayer is just a rote formula that has no meaning other than that said above. Prayer is a potent heartfelt emotional and logical approach to opening the spiritual forces of God's hierarchical plan to come into effect.

Hence we have Universal prayers and individual prayers. When we truly pray we think God's thoughts, speak God's words and act God's acts. We open a vortex of spiritual energy that literally transforms the worlds in which we live. But, remember that Grace unfolds in this time and space according to the precepts of linear time. Our prayers collectively for the past age have been of fear and self aggrandizement. For all of us - no certainly not. But collectively as a species this is our record. Look at the scars that this planet has endured in the name of our prayers. Yes every time we hold firm to images of anything less than the full healing of all humanity, all kingdoms on this planet and all souls at all levels of existence (and we do that by the images we hold and the feelings and emotions they generate) then we are praying to the lesser God for a lesser reality. Prayer enables us to speak with God, howsoever you define God. The appropriate images and feelings generate the appropriate response. There have been many prayers passed around the circles I have travelled in since September 11th. I would like to share another one with you here. Let it offer you just one more tool of universally uplifting spirit for humanity as a whole.

In order to use this prayer, gifted to me by Sai Baba, may I suggest the following.

  1. Find a quiet place, or create a sanctuary for your Soul work.
  2. Take a few deep breaths and centre yourself.
  3. Read the prayer fully and as you do so contemplate exactly what you are affirming that the heart of God should hear from you.
  4. Focus directly on words and sentences that you can feel activate parts of your Soul
  5. Have a focus in your heart and Soul before you affirm the prayer. Such a focus may be an image of a holy figure from any faith you follow or are at peace with. If you have moved beyond forms, then simply focus on the limitless abundant light.
  6. Now slowly and deliberately affirm the prayer and ask that you be heard.
  7. At the close of the prayer, sit in deep contemplation of its inner most call for at least ten minutes. If necessary repeat it over once or twice more to familiarize yourself with it.
  8. You may choose to make copies of this prayer and share it with your friends.

Or you may choose to collectively speak the prayer as one and follow it with a meditation. This prayer will soon be available on CD from our website.

Prayer of the Petals

Light of Light, Glory of Glory, Father of Fathers, Mother of Mothers, most Holy of Holy

Open our hearts, that we might build a bridge of communion between our two hearts - Yours and ours

Let them again be as One

Fill our hearts with the nectar of Your Divine Grace, that we may see as You see, feel as You feel, think as You think, speak as You speak and act as You act

Let no thought, word or deed come between Your Heart and ours that would divide us from the union that we now share

Hold us true to Your Will and allow our souls to purge their desires, inclinations and propensities to judge, and hold in trial those whose souls we do not comprehend nor understand

Let it be most Holy of Holies that we surrender unto You our very being

We do so with gratitude, reverence, humility and deep humbleness for all that Thou Art

Take into Thy Heart our very essence and purify it with the filter of Your love.
Squeeze deeply the chambers of our Hearts that no pain, nor ill shall find fertile ground within the delicate fabric of its virgin love

Let understanding once again rule with wisdom as its eternal companion, may we be wise with understanding and understand with wisdom

Fill our souls with the spirit of compassion that we might look upon one and all of humanity as our very own kin

Give us the courage to speak only truth when falsity prevails, let it be Thy truth and let its rays of righteousness pour forth from deep within our hearts

May there be unity in diversity, may Your name and that of all your Emissaries who have stepped forth throughout time to lead us in spirit be upon the lips and in the hearts of all men, women and children, across race, creed and culture

May those who would choose division be blessed with a vision of Unity,

Those who would choose despondency be blessed with hope

Those who would bring violence be blessed with mercy

Those who would proffer pain and suffering be blessed with forgiveness
Let it be that where there is darkness, Your light will illumine the path before us and let that path be cleared by us for all who would wish to walk it

May the flame of love burn deep within our mother earth who now holds the scars of this age now passing, may she be healed, may she be loved, may she be reunited in Your heart, may she be blessed

May the earth, water, fire and air of this planet, our home be purified with Your love, that they may nurture once more the kingdoms over which you have entrusted us to carry forth Your will as stewards of Light

As the clouds of darkness bring the rains of hope to a desolate land, so let it be that our tears of suffering should bring hope to a desolate heart
And we most Holy of Holies, if we should be lifted up, then our prayer to You is that so shall all those who would follow us as we walk in Thy footsteps
And yet we seek not followers within this temporal realm, but rather the knowledge that those who may choose to follow, understand that any light emanating from our Souls, is but light that shines brightly from the fire You are constantly tending in our heart

Let us always be aware, and let all who would seek to know You, that this is the fire of love, truth, righteousness, peace and equanimity,

Let these petals of the Divine Rose shine forth from our being and let their fragrance melt away fear from any soul, regardless of the seed from which their soul came forth

Let this be so

For in the name of Christ, Allah, Jehovah, Brahman, Tao, Vasudeva and all the prophets of all the great faiths past, present and future may peace prevail in our hearts, may peace prevail on earth

May the legions of your Lightworkers, across the Heavens stand ready to answer our prayer

And constantly tend the petals of our hearts, that they may blossom and fall before Thy very feet, allowing us to surrender the fragrance of our own heart, the petals of our own spirit to but create a worthy path for Thy Divine feet to walk upon

And as we are sorely tested by Your ways in this time of trial and tribulation, may we usher in the Higher octave of the Golden Age as children would but welcome the love of a mother, Let us know by the grace of the child who smiles next to us and the aged one who shows the wisdom of years, that it is You who truly smiles and it is You who truly is the fount of all wisdom

Let us be Thy instruments of Love

So be it

Amen

Meditation

When the world around us appears to enter into chaos, with events unprecedented occurring, it is then more than ever we can call upon the reserves of our meditation skills. Meditation is to create the space for communion with God. The more one meditates, the greater the space we have for the communion. Remember here that regular meditative practices yield results. Here the analogy of the glass tumbler full of clear water applies. Each day, at the same time, using an eye dropper, if we place one drop of blue ink in the tumbler, slowly but surely the water becomes blue. Such is the case with our meditation. Now, in the current circumstances, as the torrents of spiritual upheaval are calling upon our spirit to be quiet and go within, the question we must ask is are we doing it.

Take time daily to meditate and allow that over time you will create a very profound peace that will enable your soul to take full advantage of the changes that are unfolding in the spiritual world. There is in place a hierarchy of spiritual beings that are working in spirit to uplift all those who would call out. Find that quiet place within and enlist their support. As you do so, know that you will also be asked to render service to spirit, and this of course takes us back to cleaning up our act by way of the other disciplines.

Study

Study of scriptures and sacred texts is not only a discipline, but a profoundly beneficial nutrient to the Soul. It helps to neutralize the effects of the images of horror and uplifts the vibration of the soul. Let me give a brief explanation of why this may help now. There are two parts to this explanation. Scriptures, no matter what tradition they come from are truly inspired by the presence of the Absolute. I refer here not to the laws, doctrine and precepts that have evolved from the body of scripture by way of man's personal interpretation. They may or may not be inspired as such. However, the original scriptures such as the Greek Testament, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Egyptian Funerary Texts, Mahabharata, and so forth, are encoded at a level which, unless one trains their spiritual faculties, does not open the door to their knowing. Each of these sacred texts is written in a sacred language, such as Hebrew, Greek, Sanskrit, and so forth. Each letter within these alphabets has many levels. These levels include the fact that each letter is alone a symbol that the Soul recognizes and can use to act as a portal into a higher spiritual dimension. When we combine these letters into words, they form new and more profound portals, rather like a recipe in that Hydrogen alone is a potent element as is Oxygen. Combine them appropriately and the result is some thing even more profound - water. Then we can take this further and create sentences, verses with rhyme, chapters with themes, and books with intent. The books combine to form a work of Divine Art that conveys spiritual messages at many different levels to the Souls that read of them.

Now, every time you read sacred scriptures, the effect of these subtle rules of Spirit come into play. At this time of great change, (think about this very carefully please), every time you put your intent into the path of least resistance by way of the media, you are watching images, associated with words, structured into sentences and themes, albeit possibly or possibly not combined in any knowing way to deceive. The effect however is the same. The images and the words, the mantras of fear, terror, and hatred, work at the level of the Soul. They potentially tear the Soul apart and propel our being into a lower vibrational level. Is this what you want? If not, I reiterate what I said in the very first instance - fasting, prayer, and meditation are essential in this time of great change.

The second point on this I wish to share is quite simple. Every scripture manages to communicate many levels of reality. In some instances there is the historical input, then the mythological input, then the ethical input, and so forth. The Mahabharata is a classic example of one such scripture. Allow me to share just some very simple points from this scripture that may guide us in the time of great change and challenge to the Spirit. And please remember, I am writing this not as an Australian, currently living in America, nor as a Christian, Hindu, Jew, White, Black or any other such agenda. I am writing this in the hope that it may, just may, help you understand a little deeper exactly what I perceive (accurately or not it is for you to discern) is going on.

So, in a nutshell, here it is. The grand epic of the Mahabharata tells of a time when Mother Earth was pained by the way in which those who had been born from her womb, humanity, had descended into the depths of darkness. They were abusing the land, the plants and animals, each other and in so doing had moved away from the highest spiritual precepts by which they were birthed from Spirit. The Spirit of Mother earth made her way to petition the creator God, Brahma, for his intervention to rid her of this pestilence that was a plague upon her. Brahma, then petitioned Vishnu, the Supreme Godhead, who then in turn made a vow to take form as a human, return to earth, and bring with him his trusty servants.

As the story unfolds, Vishnu, the supreme Godhead, over and above the Creator God Brahma, takes on the body of the Avatar that will usher in the Kali Yuga, or age of darkness. His name is Krsna, or Krishna as we know it. In what becomes a Divine Leela, (or play of the Lord), all those Souls who are graced to be alive at the time of the living Lord Krishna are so alive because they have earned his grace. Now, know this. Even those, who as the story unfolds appear to be the very epitome of evil and darkness, are graced to be alive because they have a very specific and potent role to play in the coming Divine play. Their role on the planet and that which they will play is directly related to their karma and their Grace.

Eventually, the rules are in place and the game unfolds. There is a huge war between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. These are related families that have a major dispute over territory. It is pointless to go into all the details but some things need to be said. This was on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Eventually, the battle comes to an end after a gruesome and what some times appears to be an endless battle between the forces of good and evil. Krishna, by design, is seen to take the side of good, and yet, in so doing, he never fights in the battle. He is the charioteer for Arjuna, his trusted cousin and dearest friend. When the battle ceases all the forces of the "dark side" are wiped out, as are just about all of the forces on the "good" side. Then Krishna returns to live a peaceful life with his family and friends for a period of 30 plus years.

Eventually Krishna, his family, and the entire group of the Pandava brothers, take their Mahasamadhi (transition). This is most revealing and can be a major learning point for each of us. As they find their way in Spirit, they come across many of their arch enemies along the way. These are their most potent opponents, men who they slew in the heat of combat and whom they felt had justly been so removed from the face of the earth. As they met up with them, they realized that each had been in some way rewarded for their efforts. And they were apparently rewarded by being given residence in the higher spiritual locales. Eventually, the Pandavas find themselves in the highest level, even over and above that of their lesser cousins.

The point here is clear and we need to consider it in the light of current events. We appear currently to be entering into a period of conflict, one that is a direct result of the events of Tuesday September 11th. It has been called a conflict between the forces of "good" and the forces of "evil". If we extract ourselves from our nationality, race, gender, politics, religion, and current perceptions, we then have to at least be honest enough to understand the following possibilities.

  1. We simply 'do not know' the full extent of the issues that have run as streams of consciousness in the Soul group of either the western mind set and the apparently counter posed mind set of the terrorist.
  2. A cursory review of historical interactions between western countries (upon whom they have declared war) reveals many hidden agendas in their behaviour towards these groups that feel alienated. Just a little study of the past 2000 years makes for pretty interesting reading.
  3. Each of us as a Soul has reincarnated countless numbers of times. In so doing, we have all accumulated karmic consequences (perceived as positive or negative at this level) for thoughts, words, and deeds, in these incarnations.
  4. The Grace of this life is that we are here to work off this karma, and in so doing our life is ideally one of devotion, love, and sacrifice for the Divine.
  5. We sit in judgement of others opinions, thoughts, words, and deeds, as opposed to using discernment. But remember, the streams of consciousness that we today define this Age by, such as Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and so forth, are veritable babes in the stream of perennial wisdom from which they sprouted.
  6. It would be a million to one chance that each of us has not at some point had an incarnation in which every possible experience of life has been experienced. This implies every faith, each gender, and the full spectrum of life experiences from nice young man through to abominable and hideous, violently disposed member of society. This is not something we like to imagine applies to us - but why not?
  7. To understand this, we have to expand our consciousness from one in which we think that we are Godly, (and Godly is just "goodly") to one in which we realise (Self Realise) exactly what does and does not work on this upward spiral of creation back into the full light. We learn through our errors, at all levels of our being. An error being a thought, word, or deed that we take, the consequences of which move us further away from the light than closer to it.
  8. Yes, it is clearly more Godly to be good than bad, if we accept that at this stage in our common humanity we have grown much closer to that point of knowing. Hence, if our intent is knowingly to transgress the laws of God (Commandments or whatever), then we, in so doing, are building more karma that will be needed to be worked out.
  9. Ignorance of spiritual intelligence is the essence of darkness or what we today call evil. I want to also emphasize that such ignorance can be either ignorance of the laws of Spirit, therefore acting without intent, or full knowledge of the laws of Spirit, but acting in ignorance of the highest laws of the Absolute God.
  10. This implies an important point. The laws that are most operated upon in such a way as to create the dichotomy of good and evil are those that operate at the level of 'Creation'. The highest laws operate at the level of 'Emanation'. Or, put another way, the laws of Creation are seen in the need for the creator God 'Brahma' seeking intercession and support from the absolute emanation of all that is, 'Vishnu', who takes on the form of Krishna.
  11. Given that we do reincarnate, then every one of us is graced to be here at this moment in time to experience the unfolding grace as we transit into the Golden Age. Sai Baba has said that the apparent population explosion of our time will not be repeated. It is by Divine Grace that each and every one of the Souls alive today are here. There are countless billions of Souls who would like to have incarnated, however, they have not earned the Grace to be here. Think about that! No matter who you think of -man, woman, or child, good, bad, or any shade in between, each is graced to be here for the unfolding of events that are starting to come into force.
  12. Within this transit, we, each and every one of us, has a role to play. The key players on the world stage have been cast already, as they were in the Mahabharata. You can look around and you will see them, slowly but surely, revealing themselves. If you have not already done so, I suggest you reread Initiation Into Miracles and pay special attention to the material where Sai Baba introduced me to the understanding of Light and Dark. Open wide the spectrum of consciousness by which you embrace the current age.
  13. When we remove the fear factor and do our spiritual homework, we can also realize that it helps us remove judgement. It also helps us understand that the future is not predetermined, it rests in our hands. Gregg Braden, a good friend and masterful teacher, makes this point most eloquently in his latest book, The Isaiah Effect. Read it if you have not already done so. The more work we do on ourselves, then the more we become key players on the world stage, but we do so at a level that is far more powerful - Spirit.

So I emphasize that study helps us move beyond the mundane levels of perception, where we call into question the easily accepted mantras of the day and start to become potent forces in the world of spiritual self realisation at large. Hence, if you want to see an end to hunger, poverty, violence, disease, war, and man's basic inhumanity to man, then start your work now and do not, I repeat, do not become a victim of believing that you do not have the ability to change this world. You do. You have done it before and you can do it again.

Solitude

Still focussing on what can be done spiritually to cope with the changes that are taking place, brings us to the next discipline - solitude. Yes, a vital discipline. It takes enormous courage to be by ourselves, especially when the very fabric of our life is being threatened. Solitude calls us into the deep recesses of our Spirit. It calls us to face the emptiness of our lives and depart from the fear of facing ourselves. In context of the current scenario and regardless of where you may be in your life, it pays to really take time out to be alone. Initially, you may experience feelings of inner emptiness. Know that many of these are due to the hollows in your Soul that are like ruptures in a cylinder. They exist because of a dependency on other people's approval and acceptance of all that you do or do not do.

The ultimate spiritual sojourn is one of surrender and detachment. Solitude opens the door to both of these. Notice that detachment is occurring at very deep levels of our being when we feel ourselves dislocated from the source of life itself due to terrorist acts or other similar events. Can you take time out and be alone with yourself. Can you resist the temptations that would drag you back into the distractions of everyday life? Would you feel better if you were able to surround yourself with people who shared common beliefs and dispositions? None of this is wrong, but it does highlight the depth of the challenge.

Today, as I travel the world I am meeting more than ever before, men and women, plus children who are speaking of 'depression' and 'mental illness'. I do not pretend to have the answer to this, but what I can say is that everything is coming up for healing. Resistance to exploring in solitude the inner depths of our Souls triggers this outcome for many folk. Solitude is inner fulfilment, gained by true and deep inner introspection. Maybe you can see the importance of the earlier disciplines now since they prepare the ground work for time out with yourself.

I would suggest, in this context, that you start a daily journal. Write this journal after you have meditated and prayed. Write your innermost feelings about who and what you are. Address your truth, not the truth that others may have told you, but your truth. Go inside and ask yourself the deepest questions about your philosophy of life. Use this as a daily discovery. You will be surprised how detachment takes place. Start to list all those elements of your life that you are attached to. Everything - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Then start to trace the tentacles of their grip on your Soul. How will your life change if you no longer have these as part of your daily existence. Will you feel empty? If so what can you fill it with? Eventually, this exercise takes you to the core of the Divine. It is, in a nutshell, similar to listing all the things that you think you are and then eliminating them one by one until you realise that you are none of the mentioned things (I AM a teacher, etc). You are, rather, the essential I AM. Do this, it will be good for you. Start to make this a discipline in your life.

Simplicity

The less we have the more we are. I recall many years ago teaching people how to move away from reliance upon outside stimuli such as alarm clocks, sleeping tablets, and external sources, to solve problems. People were encouraged to master the recall of their dreams and learn the individual symbolism by which they could interpret the unfolding of their life. Simplicity is literally taking that to its fullness. The less entanglements we have with external stimuli, the greater control we have over our destiny. You may recall the frenzied buying of stores, food, water and the like just prior to the shift of year from 1999 to 2000 - the so called millennium shift. Fears reached an all time high in many folks consciousness and they took actions to prepare for the possibility of being without resources to survive.

Rather than saying this is wrong, it is indicative of how we are changing. The simpler the life we lead now, the more capable we are of sustaining life as the world changes around us. Those who know me well are aware of the extremes of travel I have undertaken in my life, sharing with folks from across this planet. Some of the happiest of all are those who have the least. This does not mean throw all away and live the life of a renunciate. What it says is recognise that one possibility in this changing world is that the more you can make life simple, the less you will be affected by way of inconveniences due to disruptions of any kind. I cannot recommend 'Living on Air" as a breatharian, since I am not one. At least not yet. However, the very principle recognizes that our essential life force, the pranic energy is available to us through effective breathing techniques. Simplicity taken to its fullness again says we do not need food when we know who we are, or at least are on the way to knowing who we are.

As the events of September 11th have shown - the world is a different place. Travel is no longer what it appeared to be before, the stock market displays how thought and fear alone determines in a negative sense the interruption to the flow of abundance. Likewise, Love and generosity, compassion, forgiveness, and understanding, all in context of an informed spirit, determine in a positive sense the free flow of abundance and wealth. Just make a list again, only this time list all of the attachments you have in life to which you are physically dependent. Ask yourself if you can be without them. Ask yourself the consequences, including what others might say as to your behaviour. Then start simplifying your life. Substitute attachments in the physical to an open ended spiritual path that shows a fullness born out of the greater simplicity. Remember, if you are busy with the internet, the mobile phone, the stock market and the news, your family has less time for you and your God has even less time.

End of part I. Part II to follow in our next update.

What to do when Sai Baba enters your life?

Sai Baba has been a profound and beautiful exponent of the Absolute Truth at all times, and I share here some teachings which shed light on our path at this time. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is known as the Avatar of the Kali Yuga. To be The Avatar implies that He is the full embodiment of the Divine (Father/Mother/Allah/Vishnu, etc.) who has stepped forth to perform a mission for which we prayed He would come forth. Now remember, as Sai Baba, He is both Mother and Father. He is Shiva/Shakti. He is in human form but is above all human form in that the form is a mirror to us to have reflected back all of our innate divinity, including our dark divinity. Yes, we all have some element of darkness within us (call it evil or whatever term you like, but free up the associations to embrace a broader perspective of what is meant. Try and avoid Bibilical meanings. They carry an enormous amount of baggage from previously ignorant decades and centuries). Hence, as the Absolute, the polarity of Masculine/Feminine does not exist, although it is inherent within the One. This is also true of our own Hearts, or our God centre, wherein the polarities are inherent.

So, let us look at the expression of how Sai Baba is teaching this. Around the world, countless millions of devotees are being called to His side now. These are people who have never ever heard of Him, and yet their own spiritual master, avatar or Divine Being is handing them over in spirit to His direct guidance. People now, from all over the world, are contacting us and saying, "Wait a minute! I am a Christian, I have always followed Jesus and now I am feeling like a traitor. I am being drawn to Sai Baba and I do not know anything about him. The world is full of contradicting opinions as to who and what he is. Is he not the dark force? Is he not a false god? Is he not this that or the other?" If you look deeper, you will find some people glorify him, others vilify him. So these honest spiritual seekers ask, "What should I do?". Others voice similar concerns as they experience the same feelings of being drawn away from Muktananda, Yogananda, Jehovah, Lord Siddartha, and so forth.

The answer is quite simple. If you have felt these emotions or asked these questions, you are not being drawn away from your master, teacher, or avatar (of which there are different levels. Sai Baba is what is called a Poornavatar or full avatar - more later). You are being integrated in spirit with your master and the Supreme Divine Light. Now, integration means a Heart connection with the highest. The master or lineage (Christian, Mayan, Buddhist, Druid, etc) that brought you to this point should in no way be abandoned. Rather, the master should be honoured even more, and all efforts should now be directed through the previous, and hence still contemporary, master, to the formless nature of the Divine. But first, if you have come face to face with the need to integrate Sai Baba in your life, He will present to you the deepest darkest passions of your Heart and Soul. He will be as the Divine Doctor. There is no scope for escape. This is the blessing that your Soul called forth before incarnation. It is the blessing of being able to once and for all experience true humility, humbleness, gratitude, and reverence for the life in One and All. Taking the step towards Sai Baba is not easy! In actual fact, the deeper your attraction to one of the other avatars, the more difficult it is to make the leap of faith to embrace Sai Baba. The beauty is that He knows this and this is the way it has played out throughout eternity.

Initiation Into Miracles... Help us Get the Book out

Help! This is a request from both of us to help us get Initiation Into Miracles out and around. Being self published, we are now reliant upon whatever help each of you can give us. If the book has helped you (which is what its intent was) then please look at ways and means that you can help get this out and about. Here are some ideas.

  1. Form your study groups. These are now taking off in different areas. In particular groups that meet regularly, such as Course of Miracles groups, small metaphysical groups, prayer groups in churches and so forth are buying the book and working the material through week by week. Instructions on how to do this are to be found in Footsteps on the website.
  2. Submit the book to magazines and journals in your local area that may be interested in doing a book review. Find the local contact and give them the word that it may be of interest.
  3. When we come to town generate interest for the classes by asking friends and relatives to come along and join us. Avoid pressure, make it genuine and sincere as a welcome to explore life.
  4. Go to Borders, Barnes and Nobles and other books stores and order the book in. Give it to a friend. This way the book starts to get out there some more.
  5. And, if you have read the book and like it, please consider going to the websites of Barnes and Nobles, Borders and Amazon to locate the book. You may then write a review of the book. This helps them rate us and gets the book moving as well.
  6. Any other ideas you may have - thank you. Some have written to Oprah, Montel and various other personalities. In the end it is all in the hands of the Divine since the book is specifically blessed to help fulfil one aspect of the divine plan.
  7. Know of a friend who is interested in Sai Baba, or belong to a Sai group. Pass the book along and let them share in the energies.

Sessions

When we come to town I am now allowing more time for personal healing sessions. Sessions run one and a half hours for these sessions and do whatever I am guided to do. Once you become aware that we are coming to your area and you wish to share in a session, please let Regina know ahead of time or call our area coordinator. Each centre we visit has a standing waiting list so it is best to get your name in early and help us to help you. Full details on the healing sessions are available from the website.

PLUS: If you have any feedback on sessions please send us an email to post on the net. Yo
